More>> Contemporary / Local - We offer musical entertainment by local performers and national contemporary performers. Jackeasy - is made up of three members of Greeleys' Reel who got together in early spring 2007. Jack Smith, lead vocalist, plays acoustic guitars, bass, and lead vocals. Justin Greeley, who sings harmony, plays bass guitar, accordion, and mandolin. Tony Menchions, who also sings harmony, plays the five string banjo, and bouzouki. All three band members make music with a variety of instruments. They play a slightly different type of Newfoundland traditional music, some Stan Rogers, John Prine, Gordon Lightfoot, Valdi , a touch of the Eagles plus your standard Newfoundland and Irish Favourites . Jack brings a deep haunting vocal that's accompanied by a high and low harmony which brings a unique sound to the stage. Midlife Crisis is a four piece classic rock band from the Conception Bay North area, including events such as the Carbonear Canada Day Concert. Formed in 2005, the band has been in steady rotation playing local clubs as well as community and private functions. The band's ever expanding set lists include countless rock anthems from the "Classic Rock Era" including music from The Rolling Stones, Trooper, Streetheart, Queen, The Doors, CCR, KISS, Steve Miller Band, ZZ Top, Billy Idol, The Beatles, John Mellencamp, Shaun Cassidy, Wild Cherry, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Joan Jett, Pink Floyd, Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zepplin and Bon Jovi. An evening with Midlife Crisis will provide you with an opportunity get out with your friends and experience the style of music that helped shape a generation. GREELEY'S REEL -consists of six family members and friends who specialize in playing Irish Newfoundland Music. They are known for their harmonies, and their great mixture of Irish, Newfoundland, Folk, and Bluegrass Music. In the summer of 2004, they released their CD - Greeley's Reel, and have released a follow-up CD - The Valley Road Sessions in the fall of 2007. In 2004, they performed at the Music Industry Association Awards Gala with the Ennis Sisters and in 2005 they played at the George Street Festival. In the summer of 2007, they played at many festivals and events including: the Carbonear Canada Day Concert, the Klondyke Concert in Bay Roberts, and the Blueberry Festival in Brigus. They have shared the stage with many groups including: Shanneyganock, the Fables, the Masterless Men, the Irish Descendants, the Celtic Connection, Fergus O'Byrne, the Punters, Siochanna, and the Mahones, They frequently play at O'Reillys Irish Pub on George Street in St. John's. Gregg plays 125 to 150 shows a year from St. John’s to Corner Brook and it shows in his ability to capture a crowd with just an acoustic guitar or with the band.
